Midweek Meditation: Wednesday, March 25, 2026
Dear Calvary family,
If we believe in God, we know there is evil; if we believe in the Holy Spirit, we know there are demon spirits, too. But we know from this week’s reading, Luke 8:26-39, who has the authority and who has the highest power. Demons recognized Jesus as Son of Most High, and all the legion (which could be as many as six thousand demons) kneeled before Jesus!!!
You and I have the Highest Power working for us and through us. We have to stand strong in faith that we belong to Jesus! Maybe you are dealing with some evil influence in your life today? Maybe you are still listening to a voice that is not God’s voice? Maybe you even lost faith that you can have a life of freedom and a life of discipleship? I do not know the timeline or a method, but I do know God’s love. There is no other miracles performed in this Gerasene region. Jesus left immediately after restoring this man. But Jesus came in His time to this place to save this man, to bring healing and salvation. God has a plan from the very beginning: To save you.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday. I believe there is no greater day to preach about what God does, who He is and what we, as His followers, do through the faith we have in Him. Come, let’s give Him all the glory.
He restored my soul,
Pastor Jolita

LENTEN BREAKFAST SERIES
Each year, area Methodist church members meet for breakfast and move through the Lenten season together. The final Lenten breakfast gathering will be this Saturday, March 28, at Pittsboro UMC, 227 E Main St, Pittsboro.
MARCH MISSIONS FOCUS
Our March monthly mission giving will go to UMCOR, the mission and humanitarian assistance agency of the United Methodist Church.
