Scholarships at Calvary
Applications for 2026 are now closed. Information for 2027 will be posted when available.
The Scholarship Committee at Calvary UMC reviews applications and selects scholarship recipients for the active scholarship funds presented each year. Each scholarship may have specific criteria; however, one application is appropriate for all Calvary awards. Award money will be sent directly to the college or university by late summer.
Applicants Must Be:
- An active member of Calvary United Methodist Church to apply to the Robert and Clari Bel Woodall Memorial Scholarship or Pastor’s and Principal’s Scholarship
- An active member of Calvary United Methodist Church or an alumnus of the Calvary Learning Academy to apply for the James C. Snapp II Vocational Scholarship
- An alumnus of the Calvary Learning Academy to apply for the Calvary Learning Academy Alumni Scholarship
- A high school senior
- Enrolling in a full-time, academic college course of study
Available Scholarships:
- Robert and Clari Bel Woodall Memorial Scholarship
- Pastor’s and Principal’s Scholarship – Preference given to students planning to major in theology or education.
- James C. Snapp II Vocational Scholarship – This $1,000 scholarship is for students who are applying to programs of two years or less in vocational training, apprenticeships, or skilled labor instruction.
- Calvary Learning Academy Alumni Scholarship – For an alumnus of the Calvary Learning Academy. Being an active member of Calvary UMC is not required. Please include the dates that you attended CLA.
