Midweek Meditation: Wednesday, September 18, 2024
Dear Calvary family,
Every now and then it is a good practice to pause and consider something very familiar so that we pay attention and notice what “new thing” God is doing.
Thus, we will begin this week a five-part conversation about the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew’s gospel. During this series we will sing, pray, converse, teach, and preach this prayer in a variety of ways. And as we do so, we will intentionally pay attention to what we notice afresh. What new thing will God’s Holy Spirit reveal to us about not only the content of this prayer, but how this prayer unites us as a people who follow Jesus?
With that in mind, consider this thought (and whether you agree or disagree)… “The Lord’s Prayer is not just a prayer, but a vision for life in Christ’s kingdom. It’s a statement of faith, a call to worship, and a battle cry.” What are your thoughts?
See you in person and online this Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10:00am.
Blessings,
Pastor Michelle
